Dr. Pradeep Reddy is the Founder of 5th Estate ADR.  He is the Principal Author on this platform.  He is based in Hyderabad, Telangana, India.

Dr. Pradeep Reddy Sarvareddy is a practicing Advocate and Arbitration Professional dedicated to modern dispute resolution.  Driven by a passion for continuous learning, he balances his legal practice with a commitment to research, serving as a frequent speaker, trainer and academician in the field of Construction and Commercial ADR.

Dr. Pradeep Reddy is dually qualified with a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Law.  He also has a Master’s Degree from USA and a Doctor of Philosophy from India.  He has also completed several certificate programs to his credit including Contract Law from Harvard University, Post Graduate Diploma in Alternate Dispute Resolution and multiple specialised certifications in software and cyber security.

Dr. Pradeep Reddy worked in the United States for a few years and later returned to India and started his independent practice.  He worked on Engineering and Infrastructure Projects for a few years before moving full‑time into the legal field.  He also served as Assistant Advisor for World Bank on a State‑Level Project.  He was also involved with other international funding agencies.  Over the years, he has worked with a diverse range of clients which includes central government, state governments, local government bodies at various levels, multinational corporations, major Indian companies, contractors, as well as small businesses and individuals.

Dr. Pradeep Reddy’s interdisciplinary education allows him a unique perspective into law and construction disputes.  His continued professional development allows him to stay abreast with the current practice and emerging technologies.  His international exposure shaped his belief in the concept of “free will” which means the ability to question, think and make an independent choice.  But then, every choice has a consequence which must be weighed properly.  This clarity of thought highly influences the way he approaches work and life.  He places high regard to “word”, i.e., a verbal promise is also sacrosanct.  Finally, he considers “character” and “responsibility” as twin traits that one must possess so that one can trust another.

In his experience, spanning more than 25 years, Dr. Pradeep Reddy has worked on a variety of legal aspects.  While working in USA, he was, inter alia, involved in Contract Drafting, Eminent Domain, Policy Drafting, Rules & Regulations and Arbitration disputes.  After moving to India, he started with Contracts and commercial disputes, and moved on to all types of legal aspects including Constitutional Law, Corporate Law, Company Law, Financial Laws, Banking Laws, Taxation, Cyber Laws, White Collar Crimes, Competition Law, MSME Disputes, Arbitration and even some international disputes.  He worked in various roles, including as an Advocate, Counsel in Arbitration, Mediator and also as an Arbitrator.  He has extensive experience in Arbitral processes, having served in various capacities including as an Arbitrator in institutional and court-appointed matters.  He practices in various legal & quasi-judicial forums, High Courts and the Supreme Court of India.

From a early stage of his professional career, Dr. Pradeep Reddy was actively involved in professional organisations and training programs as a Speaker and Trainer.  He believed that sharing knowledge with others is the best method to improve oneself.  He is a member of numerous institutions at various levels, including the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).  He received numerous academic honours and professional recognitions from various institutions, and also served in leadership positions both in USA and India.  He has published numerous articles including Journal publications, and also authored a chapter on “Evidence and Expert Evidence”, for the book titled “Handbook on Construction Law & Arbitration”, which is under publication.  He is invited as a Guest Speaker and Trainer by various institutions and has delivered more than 150 sessions, including Arbitrators Empanelment training programs.  Some of the institutions where he was a Speaker / Trainer includes universities like ICFAI, NALSAR, NICMAR, organisations like ICADR, Construction Industry Arbitration Council (CIAC), IAMC, IITArb, Telangana State Police, Government organisations, Ministry of Road Transport and Highways (MoRTH), erstwhile Ministry of Urban Development (MOUD), All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Engineering Staff College of India (ESCI), Institution of Engineers India (IEI), Contractors Development Institute (CDI), Federation of Telangana Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FTCCI) and many more.  He also teaches at Manipal Law School (MLS) under Manipal Academy of Higher Education (MAHE) as a Faculty for LLM Students on Arbitration.
